Dr. Zhandong Wang, Vijai Shankar Bhavani Shankar, and Dr. Mani Sarathy completed a successful measurement campaign at the Advanced Light Source.   Dr. Zhandong and Vijai will continue to visit Berkeley every 6 months to combine VUV-MBMS experiments with EI-MBMS and GC experiments performed at KAUST.  At the ALS, the KAUST team works with researchers from UC Berkeley, Bielefeld Univ, CNRS Orleans, and Sandia National Laboratory to study the low temperature oxidation of various gaseous and liquid fuels using JSR-VUV-MBMS. Several novel species and new reaction mechanisms were discovered.  Keep an eye out for several high-impact articles coming out in the next several months!
