Testing the Molecular Beam Mass Spectrometer

14 March, 2013

Members of the CCRC recently visited Manchester to complete factory acceptance testing of the new KAUST Molecular Beam Mass Spectrometer.  Molecular beams were obtained at high pressures up to 5 atm.  Flame generated ions were sampled.  Threshold ionization mass spectromerty with high resolution Time-of-flight (TOF) MS and Quadrupole MS was succesfully performed. Many thanks to Hiden and Kore for their excellent manufacturing of the KAUST MBMS system.
