Compositional analysis of fuel and baseoil by FTICR mass spectrometry

Dr.  Nadim Hourani visited Bruker Daltonnics  company in Bremen, Germany to analyse complex hydrocarbon mixtures. Investigation of complex hydrocarbon mixtures used in car engines such as diesel fuel and baseoil samples using the ultra-high resolution 12 T FTICR mass spectrometry was performed. The total composition was unravelled using a suitable ionisation technique coupled with the unprecedented FTICR.
