My research focus is on creating cloud computing technologies that manage and provide tools for multi disciplinary experts to collaborate and share knowledge to solve real-life problems inscience and engineering. In addition, I am also interested in developing web-based work flows that will enable experts to gain more understanding and meaning from the emerging Big Data generated from scientific experiments.​

• Gokop is aPost-Doctoral Fellow in the Clean Combustion Research Center at KAUST. Hejoined the program in February 2013.
• Before joiningKAUST, Gokop was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Cloud Computing Center ofQatar Computing Research Institute where he worked on developing cloudoperating system and cloud storage management systems and has a patent called“Cloud Data Storage Management System” which is registered with the EuropeanPatent Office. Gokop also worked as a Grid/HPC Researcher at the Science andTechnology Facilities Research Council, Oxford, UK.
