Research Interests

My research interests are centered around advanced internal combustion engines, with experimental focus on combustion and fuels. Future engines demand fuel flexibility, which necessitates active research in the field of conventional and non-conventional fuels alike, to tune them for high efficiencies and ultra-low emissions. Studies on mixture formation, flame initiation and propagation, auto-ignition behavior, emissions formation, will play a key rolein overcoming some of the technical challenges associated with advanced combustion engines. Consequently, greater insight in fuel-engine interactions will be demanded, which is my primary research focus.
