Research Interests

Dr.Kuti research entails the use of optical diagnostic techniques such as High Speed Video Camera and Lasers to gain detailed fundamental understanding of the spray, ignition and combustion processes of fuels in gasoline and diesel engines. Also he is carrying out numerical analyses of the combustion processes using commercial codes such as CHEMKIN, FORTE, CONVERGE, and other customized softwares.​

Professional Profile

  • Prior to his coming to KAUST as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. Kuti has been teaching and supervising undergraduate, postgraduate diploma and Master students at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria.
  • By Common Rail Injection System for Direct Injection Diesel Engine.” Several publications including conference proceedings have been made on this research. After his Ph.D degree, he later became a Research Associate at the Hiroshima University. As a research associate he did a collaborative research work with MAZDA motor company on the next generation Diesel spray and combustion system using new generation piezo injectors. Also he participated in teaching undergraduate students experiments on Fluid Mechanics using Japanese Language.​
